This may be followed by online or face-to-face meetings, security checks, professional memberships, health, police and ID checks.
Before deployment with UK EMT our crews undertake mandatory online courses in Induction and Safeguarding followed by an attendance at a Residential Deployment Course with us and UK-Med. Members of our register are then ready, subject to availability, for deployment with UK EMT.

Final selection will often take place in parallel with other key processes such as funding discussions or making security plans, which means that there is always a possibility that a whole response will not go ahead or be delayed because of one aspect of a response not being able to be confirmed. When this happens, we will seek to inform personnel at the earliest opportunity.
